My La Pavoni was probably made about the millenium and had a plastic plunger . It was easy to replace with the brass plunger and I put some loctite on the thread. Very easy upgrade.
The plunger was well made and I was pleased with the result.

Made more difference than I thought
I got this on a whim while getting some replacement seals - happy to say that this has resulted in better heat retention and more consistency in my (amateur) coffee making
