Awl is a small pointed tool used for piercing holes, especially in leather or rubber materials.
Awl is extremely useful for removing o-rings and gaskets when servicing your coffee machine. Insert the awl down the side of an o-ring to stretch and remove it - or pierce a flat brew group gasket and use the awl to lever it out.
IMPORTANT
This tool should only be used on gaskets that are soft and pliable to prevent damage or injury. For gaskets that are baked hard - these will require another method of removal. Brew group gaskets should be replaced regularly to ensure they remain soft and pliable.
