Actively heated brewing group

The e61 brewing group on SYNCHRONIKA II has been upgraded to incorporate a pair of cartridge heating elements mounted into the rear of the brewing group - these cartridge heaters directly heat the brewing group for a faster heat up time.

CRAFT BEAUTIFUL ESPRESSO

High-end ECM e61 espresso brewing group

Designed by Faema in 1961, the e61 brewing group remains the industry standard for commercial coffee. ECMs own interpretation of this iconic brewing group delivers the function and temperature stability to craft stunning espresso.

Commercial filter holders - single and double

Full size heavy duty chromed brass commercial filter holders allow you to extract espresso just like the professionals. SYNCHRONIKA II includes both a single filter holder and double filter holder finished with high gloss black plastic handles and metal ends.

Dedicated coffee boiler delivers hot fresh brewing water at just the right temperature

Double boiler setup means water for espresso is delivered from a dedicated coffee water boiler with super stable brew temperature. Heavy duty 0.75L stainless steel coffee boiler delivers water for brewing espresso.

Digital PID temperature control delivers stable brew temperature

Heating of the coffee brew boiler and brewing group is controlled by a digital temperature controller - this system constantly switches the heating system to maintain consistent and stable brew water temperature. This system improves espresso consistency my eliminating brewing at too high or too low temperature - for more consistent and better tasting espresso.

Set the right temperature to suit your coffee

Brew temperature can be adjusted to suit your taste and the coffee you are using. Many specialty coffees are best extracted at a particular temperature - generally medium roast coffe is extracted at 88 to 92 degrees celcius, with darker roast being extracted at lower temperatures, and lighter roast being extracted at higher temperatures. You can adjust the brew temperature as per the coffee suppliers guidance, or experiment yourself. Or just leave it on the factory setting - you will still make amazing espresso.

Commercial rotary pump

Responsive and stable brew pressure thanks to a commercial rotary pump. Not only does the rotary pump deliver stable and repliable brew pressure - operation is lovely and quiet.

Pre-infusion

SYNCHRONIKA II offers a range of pre-infusion options. Mechanical pre-infusion is a feature of the e61 brewing group. You can also set active pump assisted pre-infusion, and passive soft pre-infusion.

STEAM MILK LIKE THE PROFESSIONALS

Professional quality steam for cafe quality milk

Steam is delivered from a generous 2 litre stainless steel insulated boiler opearting at up to 2 bar of pressure.

Powerful steam - always ready to go

Ready at a moments notice - steam boiler is always available (unless switched off) to help you create delicious velvety steamed milk for your favourite cappuccinos, lattes, and flat whites.

Steam power - adjustable to suit your needs

Steam temperature is adjustable up to a maximum 132 degrees celcius for all-out power - you can lower the steam temperature for less powerful steam - useful for steaming smaller volumes of milk or when learning.

Steam milk while brewing coffee

Double boiler setup allows steam delivery as the same time as brewing espresso. Heavy duty stainless steel steam boiler delivers steam independent of the espresso brewing system. This is the same proven system used on high-end commercial espresso coffee machines.

Lever steam valve technology - instant operation - instant steam

Lever operated steam valve allows instant on/off operation - lever locks in the on position so you can position the milk jug with both hands.

Steam arm with ball-joint connection - position to suit your style

Ball joint steam arm connection makes it easy to position your steam arm to suit your milk steaming technique - steam arm position is adjustable through 3 axis of movement. Position the steam tip back over the drip tray to purge after each use.

Insulated steam arm with "cool-touch" technology - easier to clean

"Cool-touch" technology helps to improve steam power while making the steam arm easier to clean. The steam arm is lined with a teflon tube to deliver maximum heat energy into the milk and minimise heating of the steam arm itself.  Milk is less likely to stick to the steam arm - simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth.

Change steam outlet to suit your needs

A range of ORIGINAL ECM steam arm tips are available to suit diffeent milk frothing requirements - these are not included with your SYNCHRONIKA II but are available as separate accessories.

FAST HEAT UP

SYNCHRONIKA II features an actively heated brewing group for a radically faster heating time compared to traditional a e61 brewing group - the brewing group is ready to make espresso in 6.5 minutes.

WAKES UP BEFORE YOU DO

Start up time can be programmed for each day of the week - your coffee machine is up to temperature and ready to make delicious coffee before you wake up. Programmed start up means the machine is up to proper temperature and ready to deliver your morning espresso without having to wait.

SMART FUNCTIONS

Digital espresso timer

OLED display shows active pre-infusion time, passive pre-infusion time, and elapsed brew time in seconds.

ECO mode - standby timer

Save energy and wear on your machine by powering the machine down after a period if inactivity. ECO mode will turn off the machine after a certain amount of time - programmable from 10-600 minutes. ECO mode can also be switched off.

Brewing temperature adjustment

Brew temperature comes pre-set to 92 desgres - but can be increased or decreased to suit your style of espresso.

Steam boiler temperature adjustment

Adjust steam boiler temperature to suit your needs. Pre-set to 128 degrees, the steam boiler temperature can be increased up to 132 degrees for around 2 bar of steam pressure.

Pre-infusion

Both active and passive pre-infusion can be programmed. Active pre-infusion uses pump pressure to pre-infuse the ground coffee with pressurised brewing water for a set number of seconds - passive pre-infusion uses no pump pressure, just the water from the brewing system to pre-infuse the ground coffee for a set number of seconds. Pre-fusion can also be turned off.

Cleaning Reminder

Set a reminder to clean the brewing system after a certain number of brewing cycles - up to a maxium of 200 cycles. Cleaning reminder can also be switched off.

On / Off Schedule

SYNCRHONIKA II can be programmed to switch on and off at up to two different times for each day of the week. Once the clock is set the on and off times can be set for each day of the week.

Water Filter Reminder

Set a reminder to change the water filter after the machine has used a certain number of litres of water.
