COFFEE CLEAN - Espresso Coffee Machine Backflush / Cleaning Powder - 900g

REGULAR CLEANING MAINTAINS THE QUALITY OF ESPRESSO

Each time you brew delicious espresso using your coffee machine - a little of this delicious brew is left behind. Espresso oil residue accumulates in the brewing system, filter-holder and coffee filter basket. After only a few hours this coffee oil residue becomes stale - creating a nasty almost burnt taste.

If you have ever bought a coffee and experienced an unpleasant "burnt" taste - it is likely that the coffee machine was not clean. Equally if the coffee from your home or business espresso machine tastes burnt or stale - its time to clean it.

Use this powder to clean the brewing system(s), filter-holder(s), coffee filter basket(s), and shower screen(s) in your espresso machine - regular cleaning removes the coffee residue allowing you to brew the freshest and cleanest tasting espresso.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

- Specifically designed to clean the brewing system, filter-holders, and coffee filter baskets in your espresso coffee machine

- Cleaning instructions on the container

HOW OFTEN TO CLEAN

- Cafe / commercial - every day

- Office - every day

- Home - every week or every 30 espresso shots (whichever comes first)

HOW TO BACKFLUSH YOUR ESPRESSO MACHINE

NOTE: Ensure your Espresso Machine can be cleaned by backflushing - not all espresso machines are capable of being backflushed so it is important to know whether your machine has this ability before trying.

- Insert the blind coffee filter basket (one with no holes) into a filter-holder and lock this into the machine to heat up (the detergent works better with heat)

- Remove the filter-holder from the machine and fill the blind basket with 1 teaspoon (3-5 g) of espresso machine backflush / cleaning powder

- Connect the filter-holder to the espresso machine in the normal fashion

- Start the brewing cycle for 10 seconds and stop the brewing cycle for 10 seconds - repeat this operation 5 times

- This operation will transfer cleaner throughout the brewing system

- Now wait for 5-10 minutes - leave the filter-holder in the machine - cleaner is deposited throughout the brewing system - allow it to do its job

- After 5-10 minutes remove the filter-holder and rinse it clean

- Once again, connect the filter-holder to the espresso machine in the normal fashion

- Start the brewing cycle for 10 seconds and stop the brewing cycle for 10 seconds - repeat this operation 5 times

- This operation will flush the cleaner from the brewing system

- Done

HOW TO CLEAN FILTER-HOLDERS AND COFFEE BASKETS

- Remove coffee filter baskets from each filter-holder

- Fill a container with sufficient hot water to immerse the coffee filter baskets and the ends of each filter-holder where the baskets are inserted

- Do not immerse the handles of your filter-holder into the cleaning solution

- Add 10g of espresso machine cleaning powder for every litre of water to make cleaning solution

- Immerse into the cleaning solution the coffee filter baskets and the ends of each filter-holder where the baskets are inserted

- Wait 15 minutes

- After 15 minutes remove all components from the cleaning solution and rinse with hot water.

- Discard the cleaning solution

- Done
